About

Expertise

In addition to our work in private practice, VGA has contributed professional content to the industry resources AAPC, PhysiciansPractice.com, MedPageToday.com and BC Advantage Magazine. VGA also created a CME activity on the Business of Healthcare through our sister company, Creative Practice Solutions, and a joint sponsorship with the New York State Medical Society.

Commitment to Results

All of VGAs systems are completely transparent and we correspond with our clients on an almost daily basis. The transition to our services is nearly seamless, as we work with your existing billing software, or, if you don't have one, provide one for you. As a concierge service, VGA services a select number of healthcare providers in private practice with a level of service and attention to detail that is unparalleled in the industry.

Philosophy

VGA has developed a business model that allows for the nurturing and maintenance of "quality" over "quantity." Our company was started under the philosophy of combining a hands-on consulting approach with on going billing support. We consider ourselves the "anti-billing service," billing service, in the sense that we are not an anonymous company with little to no accountability or communication with our clients.

Experience

VGA Billing Services was established in 1997 to provide Billing, Consulting and Management services for private Surgical Specialists and affiliated practices. We have over 30 years of experience in outpatient billing and practice management in both private practice and outpatient hospital settings.

The Founders

Paul von Gahl

President

With over 30 years experience in medical billing and practice administration, Paul started VGA Billing in 2007. He holds a BA in Economics from Vassar College, as well as an MA in French Language and Civilization from NYU. Paul has led the New York medical billing and consulting fields with both a successful consulting business and the management of New York's premier boutique billing service. Having been through every major change in billing and practice administration, from the introduction of CPT and ICD9/10 coding and the implementation of the HCFA 1500 form, to the current challenging mandates of federal healthcare reform, Paul is uniquely qualified to guide and advise physicians looking to leverage their energies toward an Out-of-Network private practice.
